I might add twinkling stars & moving clouds soon to it.

So far took 4 days work out how to do. Make an offer - might sell per user licence if wanted...

Wow nice, it has a very good transition between day & night.
I actually have no idea how you managed the fading, the only things that I can think of are 'Animate a Texture' effect for each of the skybox sides or a script that maybe changes something related to emissive-color values together with png texture-transparency or similar...
But it really is effective, great job.

Cheers !
Due to CopperCube limitations took some extra work but used a transparent sun (png) with multiple skyboxes inside the main skybox (less than 1,1,1) with slight shading on each and just turned them on over time - the shading then gets added to each other. This was the only effective way to darken the skybox unless you want to switch over multiple versions of full textured skyboxes which take too much disk space that way.
I used Colorize for sunset/sunrise which not perfect looks ok.

For the stars I use multiple png's with only stars on them and also switch them on last when its night time and switch them off first for sunrise.

I just added star twinkling in - will upload today some time..
Enjoy!

You could in reality use Colorize for everything but I tried it and didn't like it. It masks distant objects like lightning & stars as well as using the torch looks wrong so decided not to use it.

This cumulative skybox trick works best. I might add more of them though as currently use 30 to get smoother transitions.
