I read on the net and I guess I understood what is repeating texture count, but what about tile count? I really don't get it. on an update, I went into Coppercube and created 2 planes to see the difference. On the first and second one, I set: 1 tile count - 4x4 size - 4 repeating textures 4 tile count - 4x4 size - 4 repeating textures and I saw that the second one had 4 tiles embeded in the square. In my logical way of thinking, the first square with 1 tile consumes less memory? because both displayed the texture correctly, so why the option for the tile count if the textures display fine? |

More tiles on a plane will produce a more natural light-spreading. Just like a difference in lighting on a 2k character model where lights will seem crude and cartoonish, and 20k or even 200k character where lights will seem more realistic. |
