I was excited to finally discover in Website Painter the kind of old-fashioned WYSIWYG HTML editor that I have not needed to use for a long time thanks to services like WordPress. With a manageable learning curve I created the page I wanted. But when I uploaded the page to my server at GoDaddy, instead of my nicely laid out page, I got code-based gobbledegook like this: [sample deleted because the forum thinks this message is spam] You can see the whole file at http://fusor.net/191101-index.html I get the same result if I load the file from my hard drive. Thanks, --PS |

looks like you uploaded the wspd file and not the generated html file. |

I am grateful for the reply, but I don't understand it. I am guessing that "wspd file" means the Website Painter file? That would explain the nonsense page, but the file shows up in my folders as .html, not .wspd So, pray tell how does one actually save or export an actual .html file out or this program? --PS |

Yes. Just use the "publish to local disk" feature and upload the generated files. Or use the "publish to internet" button instead. See the bottom of this page for how to publish your website: https://www.ambiera.com/websitep... |

I got it figured out. Thanks for steering me in the right direction. I"m still a little unclear re: which files are which and/or how exactly things are being saved, but I found the right file and got it uploaded. Thanks, --PS |
