Why does play2D() return NULL

Hello,

in my SW the function play2d() randomly returns a NULL-Pointer.
That occurs very randomly, but if it happens the error is enduring.
Does anybody know what happens inside play2D() that causes a NULL-Pointer as return value?
What can cause this error?

Thanks in advance!

Christian

It only returns something if the parameters 'track', 'startPaused' or 'enableSoundEffects' have been set to true. Maybe you haven't done this?

Hello Erik,

thanks for your reply.
I call it this way:
currsnd = IrrKlEngine->play2D(snd,!repeats,false,false,true);
So the parameter you mentioned is always true and in most cases it works, but very seldom it returns NULL and if this occurs it returns always NULL from this moment on.
So I am not sure whether it's a windows/driver-problem or irrklang.

Thanks

Christian
