I have quite alot of photos for my web site so I chose image gallery. When I try to place a floating text under an individual image it does not stay when viewed in a browers. it will move on top of the image or on another photo in the same gallery. Is there a way to correct this?

In responsive websites, everything moves depending on the screen/window size, so, no, not that way.
BUT: for the gallery, you can add a text, it has a built-in option for that. Just check the option "Show text". Then you have a text entry for every image.
