However i've used sketchup for various things i the past and have got to grips with coppercube to the point wherE i need to be... however! I get this error when imported a .dae - in the output window: Could not load mesh, file format seems to be unsupported: /Users/xxxx/Downloads/Untitled/model.dae as a pop up: Collada: [filename] - expected opening element I've downloaded these .dae via the collada download link on the google 3d warehouse. i cant find anyone mentioning the same error anywhere. any thoughts? many thanks! |

I always load into Blender first to see if anything not needed and can be deleted and or polygon reduction (tools / decimation). Also if it has multiple texture slots then best to link each texture in Blender first as often it has the name of the texture to link to if there are loads to link as CopperCube doesn't show the names. Also any issues like you have try export into OBJ or other format to get into CC. |
