it is obvious you have put alot of work into your project. CC is easy enough as far as the 3D editor goes, but the systems and actions you have created are amazing... I think your day/night cycle is the best I have seen. and now this inventory system just goes way beyond what CC is designed to do. I am looking forward to all the space ships you have mentioned you are working on...

Congrads to you and I am looking forward to one day being able to play your finished game

Thanks for the nice feedback count2rfeit - much appreciated.

I am trying to get the very most out of CopperCube as possible so glad you like. I think I will utilize the emissive color for clouds in sunrise and sunsets for even better look. I was using them to show radiation and meters but might change that..or keep both...so long as they don't conflict.

Yes, I just added a search bar (while looting) today and its working well - hope to add loads of other cool stuff.

I have a very cool lightning strike effect already (not shown to anyone as yet).

Lots of plans for my game and will post some more cool stuff when ready - cheers !

Yeah, I'd say you actually know how to innovate in this engine. Everything else pales in comparison to what you've been able to do.

Great work ROBO! your attention to detail and the coding is really impressive. Had you done any programming before coppercube? or have you been learning as you go?

Hows the AI coming along with creatures? would love to see what you have done with that.

Thanks for all the nice feedback guys - really helps!

Sorry about the poor audio as used my iphone and monitor output for that as getting unfix-able popping sounds during screen recordings.. will have to change something..

AnAverageGuest - Yes trying to push to the limit of what CopperCube can do. My scenes will be quite large (hopoefully) before the memory limit kicks in..

yalazkan - Thanks, yes, hope it turns out great also :)

creaturefreak - No, never coded before at least since 'BASIC' from the Commodore 64 days like 35 years ago.
Yes, i have been learning as I go...truly a lot I have picked up already and from my mistakes, no doubt more to come..
Only last night found you can alter Emmissive and Specular to get a shiny metal appearance for metal objects..

I really loved my Commodore 64... before that, it was the Vic 20, and even before that, I had bought a Commodore "Pet" - it had a
whopping 8K of ram. It came with 2 manuals - a 2" thick user manual and a 4" thick "Basic" programming manual. It was great owning a "home computer" ( I was the only one in my area who had one) but if you wanted it to do anything, you had the write the programs yourself... gosub anyone?

great times... great times

Agree, the commodore 64 was and is a unique machine. Even though I never had one. Programming for it looks quite easy and swell!

Yep, made my first game on the C64 using BASIC with I think like 800-1000 lines of code and the game worked with high scores and flashing menus etc - not bad for 64KB of data..it had random wall blocks & loot generation with gold coins to collect before the timer ran out and a spider came and ate you....haha
Funny that many of the BASIC commands I remember still operate today in Javascript like if-then statements, goto & return statements (like a function call), standard variables, a random generator etc..no massive changes since that time...
