How to follow,unfollow,change path?

Is it possible follow , unfollow and change path dynamicaly by scripting?

Hi. Unfortunately no. There seems to be no way to do this. Unless you delete the object by coding and create a similar object with a different path using clone

Thank you. I just thought of another way that 'might' work....

Create 2 separate paths and 2 separate invisible (transparently textured) "dummy cubes" to follow the paths.

If you want "object a" to follow "path 1" - every few seconds, change the position of "object a" to the position of "dummy cube 1" (which is following path 1).

If you want "object a" to switch across to "path 2" - every few seconds, change the position of "object a" to the position of "dummy cube 2" (which is following path 2).

I don't think this would be very efficient but it would work as a last resort. I'm really struggling to get my paths to work.

It's a good idea. We have to try it. And if it does not work, we can change it a little. By changing the object parent by coding. Once the parent is dummy and once another dummy2
