I get kinda crazy to understand the table thing.

I Insert a table (2 cols, 3 rows) and fill them with picture and additional text. Works and looks as i want to.

I do the preview on chrome and i got lots of space at the cell bottoms.

I compared the two codes:

rocket cake:
<tr>
<td width="50%" height="264px" style="vertical-align: top; overflow:hidden; "> <div id="cell_4a6b2af2">
<div class="textstyle1">
<span class="textstyle9">Ziehen Sie

chrome inspector:
<tr>
<td width="50%" height="482px" style="vertical-align: top; overflow:hidden; "> <div id="cell_4a6b2af2">
<div class="textstyle1">
<span class="textstyle9">Ziehen Sie

Any Idea where this comes from?

And can I change html code in rocketcake or do i need therefore external an text editor?

Thanks for anwers

(p.s: it's my first time again on websites since frontpage98 so i can forgot nearly all i learned xD)

Not sure if I understand the problem exactly:
The first code is what you get in the "edit HTML Code..." diagog in RocketCake, but when in preview, the source code looks different in Chromes inspector?

BTW: I'm sure you are not doing this, but just to be sure: Using the table to layout stuff isn't recommended, it's just supposed to be used for actual tables, like for showing lots of numbers and data or similar. If you want to design your website, use the containers instead as shown in the tutorial, it works much better on all devices that way.

Hello Eric,

yes, this is what i poorly found out. different number.

I know, tables are not that design tool ftw, but it's just 3 times images with additional text block so this was a fast solution therefor i thought (it also doesn't has to be responsible).
When I am more into HTML 5 and know how all that stuff works (there's no frameset anymore) I think I'll use floating and container and so one, but for the start that should fit.

My first try was a table with 2 cols and 1 row, and keep the three elements seperated. but there i also got the mal function the spaces (with one break) looked different, as there were 2 or 4 of them...

here is what the table position&size stuff says:

position normal
size 100%,20%
minwith none
maxwidth none
vertikal unten

Difficult to say without seeing it. Maybe send the .rcd file to support and ask them, they are usually pretty quick.

Michael,
why you don't use the 'Bildergallerie' or 'Container mit Spalten' ?

@Eric i will do next week a few tries in a new document before, so if i get the same results there.

@bupp sounds pretty interesting, but as you maybe could read before i have no experience with html5 and the "new" structures and functions so this will take time to handle with... :)

tried a simple empty page with 2x3 table filled with 3 identic images and 3 textphrases less height than images.

similar result.

rocket :
<td width=“50%“ height=“135px“ style=“vertical-align: top; over

chrome :
td width=“50%“ height=“106px“ style=“vertical-align: top; over
and
<td width=“50%“ height=“186px“ style=“vertical-align: top; over
(while rocket is still on 135)

i think the px sizes collide somehow with the screensize? if i throttle down the "preview" slider the table becomes higher also the px.

may the result can come due i work also

with 2560x1440 px left monitor (rocketcase)
and 1920x1080 right monitor (chrome)

Michael, could you please send me an example .rcd file? See support -> contact on this website, there is an email adress listed as well. I'll look at your example and will explain what happens there exactly.
