Shadow trick

I just found out this cool shadow effect that can be pretty useful to fake character shadows in closed spaces where you can't use the directional lighting to cast shadows. It is like a fake ambient occlusion, that uses point lights with negative radius attached to the character's feet, and btw this trick was made by the user Spartan (i'll leave the link to the thread and to an example i made below) and imo it's way better than the ugly circular blob shadows, and it also is the closest thing you'll get to having actual dynamic shadows in closed spaces. But unfortunately there are some cons about this. It won't work with OpenGL rendering, and even though it works on WebGL, it looks ugly and there's also a kind of delay. And depending on the color and brightness of the ambient light, you'll want to change the light radius of the shadows.

Spartan's thread: https://www.ambiera.com/forum.php?t=7812

Ps.: To get a softer, better looking shadow, you will need to increase the number of polygons of the surface where the shadows are being casted.

I don't think am ever gonna use that... Had done this so many times before but it didn't fit into my needs.... But still thanks a lot for sharing this with the community might be helpfull for others...

P.s:- the link you provided for mega download requires a decryption key....

Edit:- I think I should take my words back. Actually, I am going to do use this trick cause now am using shaders to create my lights I did use this trick so many times earlier but the reason for my original comment that am not gonna use that was because Coppercube can only render a maximum of 4 lights at a time, so using this trick was completely a process which goes in vain if I have so many characters in my scene.

And the reason why am editing this post is that Now I use my own lights instead of Coppercube default point lights and all by scripting them in HLSL Shaders.
