is it just me cos my web browser doesn't decode php programs how do I fix that

If you have a PHP website, you need to run it from a web server. You can install a local webserver on your system for that. I can recommend WAMP (if you are using Windows).
Alternatively, upload your website to a real webserver somewhere on the internet.

thanks a million but you know I can program my web server with ruby or node.js I have both so wamp will be quit useless...forget thanks a lot
