[SOLVED] How do I get coppercube to dynamically load levels and scenes please? I'm trying to use: ccbSwitchToCCBFile("Level_1.ccb"); But Coppercube6 just closes. I've also tried with a path: ccbSwitchToCCBFile("c:/game//Level_1.ccb"); Also does this mean I'd have to distribute the ccb source files with my game? Is there a way to switch between: Level_1.exe and Level_2.exe? Thanks. |

Someone recently figured out how to load EXE files instead of CCB files, which could easily be opened by anybody if they wanted to modify your game - that could be a feature or selling point depending on your preference :) https://www.ambiera.com/forum.php?t=8334 |

Thank you so much! *I took a look at the solution you recommended, I've tried to get it to work but it's a bit to complicated for me to understand. I'm really new to scripting. For now, just to get it to load a ccb scene would be fine, just so I can get the game levels working together - then later, I could look at getting it to run protected exe's instead. The guide says that the default command is: ccbSwitchToCCBFile("level2.ccb"); When I run a script using that command, nothing happens. How can I get that to work please? I presumed I could just place all the level.ccb files in the same folder as the game.ccb and it would find them all automatically? I really appreciate your help! |
