I seem to be unable to move a button. It keeps moving back to the upper left corner of the screen.

Change button setting from position type normal to position type free. Allows you to put it anyhwere.

You could also use margins in properties, just increase one of the numbers to 100 and see what happens.
0 ,0, 0, 100 this will move it to the right.
