Hi I'm thinking of buying the 200$ to get source code access. Would I be able to implement/expose a raycasting method to the ai so it cant see through walls ? Or maybe a method to see what kind of material an object is touching? For like footstep sounds (metal, carpet etc)

Good to support Niko but to determine if a wall is there between enemy and player you might use "ccbDoesLineCollideWithBoundingBoxOfSceneNode". You would have to check all your room walls this way using a for loop.
