Hello everybody, Vazahat (Just_in_case), I submitted that CopperCube .exe project to Windows Defender which detects no presence of any virus. Floydness, thank you for sharing your nice animation with that great song. I guess that you wished to apply some shaders. Was it successful ? |

I don't know how it could have a virus. I compiled it last night and uploaded it. I don't know how to do shaders. This was just for fun and I thought it turned out better than I hoped for so I shared it. I'll experiment with different ideas to do a better demo next time. Thanks for watching. :) |

@Marcw and @Floydness I don't know why and how it is showing and detecting as Virus. Am simply not able to download it. After it gets downloaded it is auto removed by Windows Defender and even Chrome shows download as "failed- Virus detected" @Floydness It maybe because of the file sharing site, you should use google drive or one drive or some other safe and secure file sharing sites. @Marcw Maybe you need to update your Windows defender virus definitions attached is the screenshot of my Windows Defender detecting it as Threat. |

Vazahat (Just_in_case), maybe that this thread published in the Microsoft forum dedicated to protection is the explanation : https://answers.microsoft.com/en.... The website "ufile.io" has a "connection secure" access with a valid certificate. It is rated "Excellent" by Trustpilot. Before running that .exe file, I examined its content and I could see that it has the structure of a CopperCube .exe project. Inside its partly binary structure, you can see all shaders in ascii format and that's why I concluded that Floydness tried unsuccessfully to apply those shaders because some errors messages are preceding them inside that .exe file. I wonder if a project containing HLSL shaders could be compiled in a Windows .exe project where the option "OpenGL" is selected for the video driver. If affirmative, then it could explain those errors messages. This remains to be verified. Here is the link to my OneDrive where I uploaded a screen capture showing the content in ascii format of two CopperCube .exe file : The first one is my project "copperghini.exe" and the second one is the project "balldancingroom.exe" uploaded by Floydness. The end of those files have also a similar structure. https://1drv.ms/u/s!AjokN1FU3jK1... :-) |
