hey helllo everyone i am having a problem can anyone tell me how can i use a weapon with fps camera i know the method of (child and parenting a mesh) but that method is not working maybe iam doing it wrong


what i want is to have a first person camera and in front of that camera i want to place my weapons but when i am trying to parent camera to pistol and hit play pistol disappears



i have seen a game created with coppercube that uses this method please help

Make sure your pistol is aligned correctly, It should not be aligned to the opposite direction of your camera target. Place it in front of your camera where your camera target is facing. You will see a green line going through your camera you need to place your weapon in the direction of that line make sure its position is slightly close to the camera target rather than having an accurate position to that of the camera.

Hopefully aligning the weapons correctly will fix your issue.

just in case i figure out the problem actually it a glitch because engine is showing the viewing direction of camera on other side and actual camera view is on other side see this please

Looks fine to me, with the pistol attached to the camera, just drag the camera behind the pistol....
