Your example ccb demo file you send me its working perfect in your project but not in my project. The "net" you place it its only separated as "net" and its ok as standalone model. I have created one ship crane (animated) and all model its not separated but merged as "one object". When the my fish cage play an animation to drop in the sea for catching fish the fish its ignoring them because cannot see YOUR fish "NET". Its normal ok....so far so good. I take your fishing net and put it as "child" inside to my cage but its stops to play your net and doesn follow the animation of my cage to felt down. I want to ask what is the Z value when my cage its going down to the sea to play your net or at least follow the cage until reach the sea? I want to follow the animation because YOUR FISHING NET had the values to CATCH the fish and if I put the same values to my ship crane its not working because had no collide as animated mesh. PLEASE Can you create one very very simple ccb file with hypotheticaly ship crane (just a cube) and when its drops down to the sea to catching fish? Because your previous demo file its not help me much. Thanks in advance and awaiting to respond. |

Hi. The way I made the net move is simply just falling with gravity - so you can adjust the gravity of your scene to make the net appear to move at the same speed as your crane. The fish net I made is just a sphere with a net.png texture (moved by wind). I added a b collide when moved (so it would drop with gravity) and added the on proximity events to catch the fish when they move near to the net. If you make a cube/crate, you can copy the actions from my net to the cube using CTRL+B to copy, and CTRL+J to paste. Another way is to attach my net to your model using (right click animated model) add node to animated joint . That way you can move the net with the crate node in your animation. If you want me to move the net for you (using your crane animation) I'd need you to send me the animation or ccb file. |

Let me trying first what you said and if still I have difficulties I will send you the ccb file in your email. |

Sure, no problem - good luck, I hope it works for you. |

Vegan Pete please post your email, I will send you the ccb file to fix it for me. Something its not quite right. Make one playtest to see how it works the crane and after its drop down then I want to catch the fish. I have the buttons to press inside in the behaviours. |

PS. I re-edit the crane in blender and its work perfect now according with the cage same speed. Now I need to focus to catch the fish. Awaiting your email. Thank you in advance |

OK, so I managed to successfully attach my "net" object so it moves perfectly with your red Crate. Also managed to successfully set variable "Caught" when the red cage is in proximity with the fish. The problem now is that (for some unknown reason) the fish can't be moved to the position of the net. I think this may be because, the crate is part of the crane animation (not a separate object) - so perhaps the fish is moving to the centre of the crane (not the centre of the crate). It shouldn't be doing this though - because I attached an object to the crate node and told the fish to follow that object, it should be able to move to the net. Not sure why it doesn't work (although I did notice in your animation that the scale of the parts are all different). To fix this, you can make the crane animation in coppercube (with separate object parts, instead of single animated object in blender), I will definitely be able to attach the fish to the cage/crate for you then. If you want to keep the blender crane animation, someone else will be able to help you better - because I don't know how to use blender. Here's the file so far - when you create the new animation, simply child "net" object onto your new crate (set the position to zero) - and everything should work fine. https://drive.google.com/file/d/... |
