I create a very realistic and detailed map in World Machine but allow to import a heightmap only. How to import the textures of World machine terrain map into the copper cube? The terrain map from WM its ok inside but replaced automatic with the default ambiera textures and not from WM. There is support of Splatmap like unity? |

Sorry for now it is not supported in CC, You can however manually import textures and paint them on your terrain. hope that helps. |

It's been a while since I've experimented with this. But as far as I remember I was able to successfully transfer 3D mesh data (as formats like .fbx or .obj) with WM generated associated colorful bitmap textures from WorldMachine via Blender to CopperCube. So importing height map data should not be your only option I guess. |

@hadoken importing a heightmap its not my only option? What others options had? No splatmap! And thats enough... All the game engines have at least splatmap to texture decent things. |

I found loading a fixed 3d mesh is better looking in CopperCube from World Machine. You can create some great looking textures with erosion and the like with a bit of effort...this will look way better than loading heightmaps and texturing it yourself. CC texture blending is not that good and has no inbuilt auto texturing based on slope or adjustable heights. The main benefit with loading heightmaps is the large size you can have compared to 3d mesh terrains plus much better texture memory usage with repeating textures compared to a single large texture for the whole terrain as with world machine. I still like 3d mesh idea though as looks better and much quicker than trying to texture it yourself. |
