Ok - doing something wrong here - yes, I read MasterPage(MP) instructions. Yesterday I spent almost 4 hours designing a page that I wanted to be a MasterPage. I got to the point where I wanted to save the page as a MP. 1. In the file name I input: masterpage.html 2. At the bottom of RC I checked UseMasterPage 3. Clicked Save Absolutely nothing happened - I cannot find the page anywhere. Was I supposed to NOT check UseMasterPage? and, just leave the file name masterpage.html and that would have generated my MP when saved? Also, is it not possible to open a page I have already designed (rcd file) - click on View HTML Code of Page - copy this code - and paste same into the HTML Code of a new page and then designate that page as a MasterPage? This would save me hours of time. |

I forgot to mention this...I did add 3 content place holders to the page BEFORE attempting to save. |

You need to set the "use master page" for the page which should replace the placeholder part in your master page. Also, you need to select which master page below that "use master page" checkbox, otherwise nothing will happen - that's probably what was missing? |

Hm, it might work, but I think in a lot of cases it won't - that's not how it is designed to work. |

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Mine is NOT starting off well. It seems I have ALMOST learned how to create pages with RC - see my homepage here created with RC: https://www.postalemployeenetwork.com/index.htm BUT - this MasterPage thing is driving me absolutely bananas - It worked when I created the following page - but when I go back today the wording 'PEN MasterPage' (yes, I wrote that) is showing after I deleted those words and replaced with AdSense code...several times. Over and over. Here is that page: https://www.postalemployeenetwork.com/job-injury.html I am willing to pay someone to step by step tell me how to do this. Here's what I did: (1) Created MasterPage - saved (2) Created new page - gave it title - saved as rcd and then clicked Use MasterPage - at that moment the option to select the MP I saved was there as a choice in Use MasterPage...now it will not show again for me to use. I know - I am sorry. But I really need step by step by step instructions on how to create and SAVE a MP - and then create a new page and have it use the MP I created. Anyone? Will pay via PayPal. |

As said before: You could just send me the .rcd file and I'll have a look at what is wrong. I'm doing this free of charge usually.. :) |
