PixelWorkstation is an advanced image and graphics editor. It is free and has some unique features. It is currently in closed alpha but will be released in the near future.

local AI support
The built-in AI features like background removal, image generation and generative erase are running locally on your own PC. No cloud, no tokens, no censorship, no hidden cost.
Images side by side
Work on multiple images side by side. You can view and use other images as reference as you are working on another one.
European Software
The app is made in Europe. It's a side product of our RocketCake website editor, uses the same underlaying engine and will be integrated into the website editor later.
Fast, Native and Portable
PixelWorkstation is written in native C++ - it's fast, small, and needs very little memory. It runs well on low spec hardware and will be ported to mutliple operating systems.
Many file formats supported
While it working best with major file formats like PNG, JPG and WebP, PixelWorkstation supports reading and writing many others and even arcane formats like .ICO, .PCX, .XPM, .PNM, .BMP, .GIF and .TIF.
Work state saved in file
PixelWorkstation saves your current work in its own file format (.PWSD) and with it the current state like selection masks so you can continue working any time.
