Hi I am busy setting up a website using your RocketCake software. For a beginner in web design your wysiwyg system is amazing. However, In the gallery all the images are shown in Landscape format. A lot of my photos are in portrait mode. When I import the images into gallery, would it be possible to be able to rotate the images that they can be seen upright. My website is nbadventures.co.za Thanks Neill Fourie |

Looks like you've got the playback auto rotate function enabled in your camera, i.e. if you playback your images on your camera's LCD they will all be displayed in an upright orientation, no matter whether taken in landscape or portrait orientation. The image orientation gets written in each image's EXIF data. However, RocketCake (currently) does not read the EXIF data and therefore does not know an image's correct orientation. To get your problem resolved get rid of the EXIF data. Run the images you want to use in your RocketCake project through a batch conversion tool to convert them from JPG file format into PNG file format. For example, IrfanView (https://www.irfanview.com/main_w...) will do this within seconds. Be sure not to overwrite your JPGs, i.e. save the PNGs to a separate folder. With the conversion into PNG file format the EXIF data will get lost. After that open the PNG images with your image editing software (or use IrfanView again) and manually rotate the images which need correction by 90 degrees. Now you are ready to use these PNG images with RocketCake, and your original JPGs will still be there. |
