As time has gone on my local project directory that contains all my css & html files as well as a rc_images folder on my mac probably contains redundant files compared to my actual website. Is there any RocketCake action that can sort this out? I had thought of downloading all my files via an ftp download but this contains several files and folder that are part of my non RC MySQL systems.

Your .rcd file should include all images and websites already - so for most projects, this is the only element your need to keep. But it's always a good idea to keep the original files you used just to be sure.

If you have videos and linked files in your project, you need to backup these too. They are usually to big and won't be included in the .rcd file.

To test if everything works, you can just take only your .rcd file and open it on another mac.

I just hadn't realised that fact. I took a copy of the RCD file and it didn't open as it gave the error below (Old MBP still had 5.1). I then tried a copy on my current MBP and it didn't open when I double clicked the file. The RC displayed an error stating that the files were created on an newer version 5.2. When I looked at the ABOUT it was still 5.1. I would have thought that the file/application link would have updated itself with the new 5.2 version. Maybe I needed to do something else when I updated via the App Store.

If the new RocketCake v5.2 is installed, but on double-clicking an rcd the old v5.1 RC opens (or nothings opens at all), make a right-click on the rcd, select "open with ...", and point the system to the v5.2 RocketCake.exe.
That's how it works on Windows, and I guess Mac has a similar routine for that.
