Can the IrrKlang.dll be compiled for Silverlight Projects

I would like to use the IrrKlang sound engine in my project. Instead of using direct C to compile my projects, I'm using Visual Web Developer 2010. I am creating a Silverlight game, but it still uses the C and .Net languages.

Since there is no access to the source code, I was wondering if the IrrKlang.dll can be compiled for .Net 4.0, Silverlight 4.0?

Thanks so much in advance!

IrrKlang works for .NET, there is even a .NET 4 version available, just use the version in bin\dotnet-4 (named irrKlang.NET4.dll).
I don't have any experience with Silverlight, and irrKlang.NET is a mixed mode assembly, so I'm not sure it will work with it, though.

No it doesn't work. The error says it needs to be compiled for silverlight projects before the .dll will work.

In the past, I've created a "silverlight Project" in Visual Web, but simply copy/paste all my C class files. That way, I don't have to change any code, but the .dll is actually compiled for silverlight.

It's a minor technicality, but of course Microsoft isn't going to make it easy for me :D

So I was wondering if I could have access to the source, so I can compile it for Silverlight?

Or if the owner of the code can compile it that way?
If he needs help, I am available through email or msn to chat about it.

I'll take a look at if it is possible to recompile it for silverlight, could take a few days.

Ahh thank you so much! I would love the change to test IrrKlang in my silverlight application. It has some very exciting features and would make my development much better.

Again, thanks for your efforts and time!

Update: Checked it out and doesn't look good. It won't work with Silverlight by simply recompiling it (thanks, Microsoft), there would be some more work involved, and this will take some time.
So maybe irrKlang will support Silverlight in the future, but not now.

Okay, well thank you for looking into that for me. I hope that in future your library will support Silverlight. We've got XNA working in the browser now, thanks to Bill Reiss and Silversprite.
Now we must await the day for a nice audio engine too :)
