Linking to other pages

For my photography website I create galleries using other software (jAlbum). I use RocketCake to make my home page, but I am having difficulty linking to the index pages of the galleries. If I set the link using "file from disk" it embeds a link to rc-images. If I set the link using "Website" and type the link location , it appears to work until I publish it to the web, when the links do nothing. My question is, can I add the gallery folders to the RocketCake project so that I can create links with "file from this project" and would that actually work.

At the moment I have resorted to using "file from disk" and the editing the source code to replace rc-images with the correct path.

Any suggestions of what would work or what I am doing wrong would be appreciated.

Using the link type "website" should work, you probably just need to use relative links - depending on how your website works. Maybe send a link to your website or post a screenshot or similar?

Hi Niko, sorry if i'm being a bit dense, but can you explain what you mean by "relative links"? Bit new to this stuff.

Like if your gallery page is uploaded to

yourwebsite/galleryfolder/pagewithgallery.html

and your website is here:

yourwebsite/mywebsite.html

then linking the gallery from your website must be this URL in the dialog:

galleryfolder/pagewithgallery.html

But I have no idea if that is your problem. Maybe send me the .rcd file (see support -> contact on this website, there is also an email address printed) and I'll have a look, or send me a link to your website where it doesn't work.

OK, actually I think I understand. I should write the path as relative to the home page index.html.

So "/gallery1/publish/index.html"
Instead of "c:\mywebsite\gallery1\publish\index.html"

Is that correct?
