I have fixed an issue in the object snapping plugin for zero thickness plane meshes.

It is also available for free now on Itchio - enjoy:

I still continue to use this plugin more than any other plugin I have worked on...its really great for creating levels fast from parts and is very accurate.

To be honest, I think @sven has way much more better plugins for easy level designing than your snap to grid plugin. Just look at his itch.io page, it's full of level designing stuff.

Different tokes for different folks.

Yes, Sven has some very good stuff and is a great asset to the community. His plugin is more suited to fast and east level creation being more general in nature.

Mine is best suited for higher level flexibility and detail in how you create your scene and connect it up from individual parts instead of whole rooms as Svens plugins has..

Both are good actually - depending on what you want to achieve.

Hi there, thanks for sharing this tool, I would like to know what is the major difference between this tool and the one available on official ambiera tools section.
So that I can get to know which one I should use, there is a snap to grid plugin on download page of ambiera. Is it the same plugin or a different one? Do i have to perform any special steps in order to use it? I am new here and would like to learn about the engine.

Thanks for the comments.

Brian - yes, the plugin I made available is an extensively modified version of the basic one on the ambierra site.

I would not use that one as will only adjust positions (if your mesh already matches the selected grid size).

My modified one will adjust sizes of any mesh to match the selected grid size plus suggest what could be a useful grid size if your not sure.

It will also do snapping rotations, adjust for existing rotations and give lots of useful info. It now also wont be a problem to use plane meshes with zero height on the Y axis.
