Well, I am not sure what limitations the engine's have. It differs from user to user, there have been many horror games created with this engine and they are quite popular.

Dim https://smnmhmdy.itch.io/dim-dem...

Smiling Man https://noxusgamesstudio.itch.io...

Incoherence https://apish-box-games.itch.io/...

Old Times https://gabrielnjlc.itch.io/old-...

and many more.

For some people, rendering graphics can be a limitation, for some people the physics system, and for some people some other thing if they don't know how to properly use the engine.
but if you are serious with the engine and really wanna make a game in it, then I believe you can workaround most of the time with the limitations.

@niven, @zero and @gabriel and some others are more into horror games they might help you.

thank you so much. I was also wondering if coding had anything to do with those games? since this is a no code engine from what I was told. Sorry for being annoying.

I been currently making a horror game and I haven't found many tutorials on a dialogue system, I'm more of a visual learner, there's no sort of tutorial on how to add items to the screen and place the item back on the ground system.

@paperkeys

Check out Niven's channel on YouTube. Not sure about the others, but I know he doesn't use code. Here's the link:

https://www.youtube.com/@NivenHe...

He's got some basic tutorials on there about how he does his games which may answer some of your questions. That being said, and while CC may be a "no-code engine", it's best if you learn some basic JavaScript. I learned from this site:

https://www.w3schools.com/js/def...

It will really help you out in the end.

I watched all of the following links, but that channel creator doesn't have a dialogue system tutorial, any help on creating dialogue

@PixelGuy,

Here is the link to the dialogue manager extension that you can use to frame dialogues with advanced features like choice-making and all.
There is also a video tutorial on the download page and my YouTube channel as well.

Not only that you will also get a complete Visual Novel template file, along with the extension.

https://vazahat.itch.io/dialogue...

Hope this will help you, if it does then you can follow my itch.io page so, that whenever I push an update or post new content you can get a notification.
