Just curious to know how many and which browsers should a website be checked on before uploading it. I use Microsoft Edge only at this time. It's suppose to be compatible with Chrome. Thank you in advance.

Firefox is always a good idea to check since it uses a different engine. Edge is the same as Chrome. Safari is similar, but sometimes does things differently, so also a good idea to check that one.

I've found out that html from a local file won't show up in Firefox but one from the web will show up. My question is will they show up in Firefox once uploaded to the website? All help appreciated.

Several sites exist to enable you to check a site against multiple browsers for example
https://www.browserstack.com/ or https://www.browserling.com/
