Hello again, After some experiments with Copper Cube and Copperlicht I decided to use CopperCube. So know I'm working on the character animation and after CopperCube don't support 3DS-Modells (and thats a mess :S), I have to use Milkshape 3D. So I bought Milkshape, too. All after all i created a little character animation and so I discovered, that ms3d-Animation worked neither. I created a little bone-animation, which works perfect in Milkshape. But when I'm using it in CopperCube the animated Bone ist moved to the center (with the animated parts of the mesh). When I animate some different bones, all bones und all animated parts are moved to the center, so the hole character is fucked up. So there is no way i can use .ms3d for character animation. When I'm exporting my mesh to a Blitz-file, everything worked fine, exzept of "new bones", which appears from the end of each bone line to the zero point of the mesh (where the object axis are). So I can't use .b3d neither, because the new bones transforming my mesh too und the hole animation won't work anymore. When I'm using the .x-Format, the hole Bone-System is animated correctly, but the mesh don't transform. So in fact, CopperCube 4.0.1 doesn't support any animated file-types, which is really disappointing. After all this was the reason, why I choose to use CopperCube and nothing worked out correctly. Maybe, someone here knows some workarounds how I can use animated characters in my project. I hope so, but i don't think so, because every file format didn't work. Greetz, Totenkopf |

I save all my animated models to .x format and never have any problems. If I have to convert any models I use ultimate unwrap pro. Anyway I don't know why you're having this problem but version 4.1 isn't the problem since it's working fine for me. Infact I just finished a game today that has a lot of animated models in it that work just fine. Try saving your models as .x format and see if that works. I find that ultimate unwrap pro and coppercube work very well together, anything that you bring into ultimate unwrap pro and export as an .x file seems to work fine without any problems. There is a free trial version of ultimate unwrap pro, not sure if every export works with the trial you better check. Ed. |

I have not had any problems so far with b3d or x format I use Deled and fragmotion for all of my stuff and also have ultimate unwrap pro witch I don't use unless I have to. Check out fragmotion it is free if you submit a bible vers every month. But I have owned it for a few years well worth it. Just my 2 cents TheElk |

When I was new to CopperCube, I rant also that fbx not supported and my animation not work properly. I also got here the advice to use ultimate unwrap pro . I have so many another programs tested but only UU3, had converted for me properly Now all Problems go away with UltimatePro. With the free Version you can not save , so is a purchase, necessary. But it is worth, my rigged Character and animation works absolutly perfect in CC . I think UU3 is a must have with CC. My easy peasy workflow now, and I love it ... Modelling in Hexagon Rigging with ContentCreator ToolKit in Daz studio animating with iClone5 fbx >> x.file and merge all animations to one clip with UU3 .= CopperCube.... |

As say @edkeyte, @fifkid and @fairygirl Ultimate Unwrap Pro is the king (solution)... it works fine for me too: 3DSMAX > FBX > UUPro > X format > CC > Happy Feet Glad to help you around here! |

Hello again and thank for all the answers, so... another new programm to buy... *sigh* So as I work with 3DSmax the posted workflow looks fine to me, but I don't have the money to buy another programm which may or may not work... In the Demo-Version the hole animation looks alright, but I can't convert it, so i uploaded a little figur with a 60fps Test-Animation (30 Walk, 30 Stand). This right foot is a bit of a mess, but also is in 3ds so no panic. I uploaded it to: http://www20.zippyshare.com/v/64... and maybe someone has 5 minutes time to convert it for me and reupload it, so that i can see wether (or wether not) the programm is working out for me, too. Thanks a lot to you all :) Totenkopf |

@Totenkopf Sincerenly, At first I think the same like you :Ohhhhh... another program.... another payment"... hehe But now that I using it, I find it very helpfull... I use it to Optimize LOWPOLY meshh too in conjuction with 3DSMAX "Optimize tools,etc"... mmm... I can say... to make a good 3D is very tricky... most of times there is not an easy+one step app+cheap solution... You need to read about how it works on CPU and GPU to choose your best solution on every project... (thats my job, every day of my life since 18 years ago when I began on school ....yes!... I´m very OLD... hehehe) I can recomend you this program... but you need to learn the steps and tricks... (as I mention before ... are always a little tricky... but the reward is cool, if you like enjoy to work on 3D)... |

@Totenkopf Heeeeey... if need a little help ... send me your model (a link to dwnload) and I convert it on UU Pro (i ´ll resend you on x format) ...so... this way you can be sure this work for you.... Only if you wana try if it works for you.... before buy it (maibe this help for now) You tell me, I´m around here. |

Hey Crusly, Thanks for your answer :) Yeah, after all I would buy a new programm, if it works out fine for me. But with UU3D, i don't know it before (cause in the demo I can't convert anything), so that's why I uploaded it. If anybody convert it for me and this thing works out fine - I will buy this programm. But I don't want to buy another useless one... All after all the hole 3D is more like a hobbyproject for me. I used 3ds to create a nice character and animate him with bones, but I will ever be a programmer. It's more like a bit of "extra-fun" for some of my codes :D So maybe, you can convert my character as a test and if everythings works out fine - I will follow your advice (and hopefully not scream to much :D). --- So after writing this post, i see your second answer. The link is in my last answer or here again: http://www20.zippyshare.com/v/64... Theres a problem with the right foot, so just ignore that one. It was just a quick animation to test everything :) |

He ? |

Thanks fairygirl! :) So I tried this one in CopperCube and it doesn't work. The UV works correct so everything looks fine, but it's just a static mesh with no animation data (length -1). (and yes, I klicked an "animated 3D mesh" ^^) After trying with Milkshape i found out, that ms3d works fine if you just work with Milkshape and no converters... that could be an alternative way, but all after all working with 3dsmax would be better. |

The UV works correct so everything looks fine, Strange because the UV Map is not proper here But your file looks and works for me in same way how in UU3 also with animation in CC Sicher das du auch mein File geladen hast ? Ich vermute mal du hast noch nicht viel geriggt . Die Bone Hirachie ist etwas seltsam und auch nicht richtig gewichtet daher die Deformierung |

Strange... because just imported to CC on my own and works fine the animation... |
