Niko, if you are looking at this, I hope you understand that I really like Coppercube and am using it seriously as you can see here, a lot of designing/modeling/texturing/rigging/animation time went into this.

I hope you can help me make sense of what I am seeing here and let me know if I should wait for 5.7 to continue this or if this is not a bug.

Could it be that you maybe died? That the hit caused your health to drop, so the AI lost interested then? But I'm not sure.
I'll look into that for the next update.

Hello Niko, if the first hit cause the player to die, it would makes no sense that the enemy would shoot->patrol->shoot->loop again, and other players are also doing the same, so health seems to not be the affecting point here.

The second most serious issue is the shooting animation doesn't loop, resulting in only one shot and the enemy just stay there in the last shooting frame like a retard, please make the shooting animation auto loop until the player is out of range
