Hi,

RocketCake 5.2 is available now.
it is a free update, you can just download and install it from here: https://www.ambiera.com/rocketca...

Some changes:
• Extension components (download and create additional components for rocketcake!)
• Better Multi-Display support
• New free website templates
• Improved HDPI support
• Support for larger projects
• WebP version update
• Lots of smaller improvements everywhere

🔎︎

The new extension component feature is quite a big change: You can now download additional components for RocektCake from the web. Get the first few components here: https://www.ambiera.com/rocketca...

For the start, there are a few components available already:

• Simple contact form
a simple component with a configurable contact form which doesn&039;t require any programming

• Cookie overlay
Shows a cookie overlay on the website, displaying a user selected text.

• Summary and Details
Shows a summary / details text on the website, that the user can view or hide by a click

• Upload and send file
A form for selecting and uploading a file to the website which then gets sent to an email address

• Print button
Button which prints the page when clicked, and doesn&039;t appear itself on the printed page

• Marquee
Shows a old school marquee element which scolls area of text.

You can also create your own RocketCake components, and even have others use them. Send them in if you like, they can be added on the website then. There is a step-by-step documentation on how to create your own components here:
https://www.ambiera.com/rocketca...
(Note: Components only work in the pro edition of RocketCake)

Detailed change log:
https://www.ambiera.com/rocketca...

You can install this new update of RocketCake next to your existing RocketCake installation (feel free to uninstall the old one whenever you like). If you have a RocketCake 5 Pro license, the upgrade is free and your license should get recognized automatically by the new version.

Hi!

Great to hear about the new 5.2 release and thank you for the job done!

today, I have in my system, the 5.1 Professional version.
You mention that the new 5.2 version is a free one.

Have few questions:

1 - What do you recommend in that case?

2 - Must I keep the professional version OR jump by downloading the new 5.2 free version?

3 - Do you plan to launch a 5.2 professional version?

4 - When is it planned?

5 - And for people who have already the professional 5.1, what will be the cost for the professional 5.2?

Thanks a lot in advance for your help and support!

Cheers!

This was answered here already:

Thanks a lot Erik.

Will then install the new 5.2 free version and will keep the 5.1 Professional one just for safety until the 5.2 Professional is released.

By the way, no idea when this could happen ?

Again, thank you very much Erik !!!

The components are stored in documents/rocketcake/extensions, but they are included in your project file (for the components the project isusing), so you don&039;t need to care about them usually.

No need to wait. Just install 5.2. and it will work with the Pro features enabled. You can still keep 5.1 if you like but you don&039;t have to.

For further clarification: There is just one RocketCake download. It works as RocketCake Free (Pro features disabled) if you don&039;t buy and enter a license, and it turns into RocketCake Pro (Pro features enabled) if you buy and enter a license, or if a license registration already exists on your system.

The 5.xx license remains valid for any upcoming 5.xx update.

Thanks Niko, i understand, if i open the project from usb the used components will be in it, but if i open the program from usb with no project, there will be no components. Thanks again for as soon as the best software in its kind.

Thank you for the new auto components feature. Especially auto install with the cookie popup box. A couple of clicks and there it is, at the bottom of the page. And it is easy to change the message, even for a non-coder as I am.

Also, thanks for not charging extra for them like other programs or using an annoying credits system that removes your credits after one year if you do not use them.

I would rather keep everything included in one package. Even if that means raising the purchase price.

Thanks Again!
Best Regards

i downloaded the 64-bit-version. My question: is that really a 64-bit-version? The filename its the same as the normally version (without 64-bit)

The 32Bit v5.2 now calls RocketCake-32bit-5.2-Setup.exe
The 64Bit v5.2 now calls RocketCake-5.2-Setup.exe

Yes, 64bit is now default. There is a separate download for the 32 bit version, with "32bit" in the filename.
You can verify if you have the 64 (or 32 bit) version by clicking Help -> About. It then says "(64bit)" in the window if it is the 64bit version.
