Can anyone give me a starting formula for gentle reflecting pool or lake in CC? Is it possible. I got a very rough effect with fake reflection.

Any help or suggestion.

Thanks

At the moment reflection, bump, glow and specular is not really possible in CC. Maybe it is on the TODO List already ?

Thank you fairygirl.

I am amazed at what has been achieved! I hope you will visit my campus when it is finished! I am loving this software!

I'm planning some water feature for an update of CopperCube, but it's probably one of the things which won't be in in the near future, although I personally also would like this very much :)

Reflective water surface is something just like a lot of other functions not currently supported by CopperCube, is going to have to be hand coded in by the person who really wants it. I know this is not fair to those of us here that are not programmers and rely on CopperCube's easy WYSIWYG tools, but that is just simply the way it is. Now, for those of you here that have never seen a WebGL water simulation, you can check this one out, but there is one little warning: This WebGL demo is resource intensive, so even though having a very good graphics card is not mandatory, it is still recommended, so here it is: http://madebyevan.com/webgl-wate...

WOW , that looks very cool, but for me, only a little waterlike in CC would also suffice, without coding of course.

The Hormel Hog sample CCB (CC3 tutorial at FarmPeeps.com) has a duck pond reflecting pool implemented, I used the reflecting textures against the sky.
If you want to make a undulating and cascading river I used another tecvhnique with success by rotating a transparent wave table mesh. Here is a animated 3D PDF of a gold miner digging in a stream which uses this effect. http://www.goldpeeps.com/goldpeeps_virtual_sluice.pdfhttp://www.example.com

Thank you everyone on this subject. It is a subject to reflect upon!

A shimmering lake would be nice.
