So this afternoon I've been heavily optimising one of my client sites - hence my earlier question about webp (and webm?) assets. After crunching down a bunch of .MP4 video, I just now noticed that my .RCD file is still smaller than my smallest .MP4 asset. What exactly is included in the .RCD file? Obviously not .MP4 assets - so backing up the .RCD is clearly NOT enough? Sending just the .RCD to a colleague will not be enough for them to recreate my website? Are my .PNG, .JPG and .GIF rolled into the .RCD? Or do they also need to be part of my backup scheme? Thanks for a bit of clarity on this! Peace out. |

I think it includes images, but not linked files like mp4 and audio files, or downloadable files which you link via hyperlink. From what I was being told here on the forum, it's best to backup all the source files images anyway just to be sure. |
