Uhhh well... hmm.. I dunno. Do you play DOOM? There's a pretty awesome DOOM map generator here: https://github.com/obsidian-leve...

You can then get a DOOM map editor and export it as obj. It does caves as well. Works well. I can't remember the name of the map editor I used but it's likely one of the newer ones since it exports meshes.

Also this is not an announcement. Please post your questions under Help With CopperCube or Open discussion next time.

I've tried quite a few different softwares since reading this post and I can confirm that Obsdian is fantastic - great suggestion! A similar suggestion to Guest's, an older version of Obsidian, called "Obhack", which is easier to use and does some great levels, although it's much less sophisticated.

I stumbled on it whilst researching Obsidian - thanks Guest!

I've just used it to make 200 levels for one of my projects. The file-sizes are tiny, which is handy for coppercube games - and classic Doom is still one of the greatest games, so the levels are always decent. Definitely recommend either Obsidian or Obhack.

They generate wad files (Doom format), which can be exported as obj by gzdoom builder https://devbuilds.drdteam.org/do... - then directly imported to Coppercube. Very quick and simple solution and you can make the levels as small or large as you like.

If you want more control over the design/layout, you can try png2wad on itch.io (see image below).
It's the same idea but you can draw a simple image in a graphics editor, and it uses the colours to generate the 3D level, then import to Coppercube. Only disadvantage of png2wad is that it takes a while to draw the image and the levels are restricted to one floor - you you need to manually add textures to the level afterwards, while obsidian and obhack can do multi-floors (with stairs) and automatically textures them (Doom style) - so depends what you want.

Also user Sv3n make a capable 3D Room Editor for coppercube, available on itch.io.

Here's an screengrab of a "png2wad" level running in coppercube, it's quite a good solution and is fun to use. ....

GZdoom? You mean gzdoom builder? I can't find a working download link...ultimate doom builder I found but didn't see where to export obj files. Gzdoom by itself just gives me the option to play doom.. I own doom already. I really am confused.

So long as you have the WAD file it shouldn't matter because you need to load the map into Ultimate Doom Builder, select the entire map, go to FILE > EXPORT > OBJ. If you want the textures included then you have to add the resource. When you load the map, you will load the WAD, then load the same WAD as the resource, and then as I said above. Here is the result:

Easy peasy.

Finally:

You can make similar levels to these without any software and Blender in an easy way. You just need to start from a subdivision plane/grid etc and make the map similar to how old-school DND players made their dungeon maps. Just draw the geometry into the grid with the knife tool, extrude up, etc. These maps aren't very complicated. Of course you can't use any of these assets in a commercial project, but you can use the meshes with your own textures. Some guy on itch has a great pack of DOOM-like textures so check there. Just use these as placeholders. Cheers.
