Gradient Shape photos

Hi, I have created a gradient shape, mainly to get the curved edges, and want to fill it with a photo. When I do, it puts in the full size photo, so you can barely see any of it.

It's made me realise I need to resize the photo generally, but is there an easy way to resize the photo in website painter, or to know what dimensions I need to resize the photo to?

A bit like the blue edged boxes on http://www.charmcitycakes.com/

Yes, for things like that, it is recommended to resize the picture using an picture editor and save it. Of course you can resize the image in WebsitePainter, but it is just like in HTML then, the image still will have the original file size.
Foer the dimensions: You can already see them in websitepainter, they are displayed unter 'size' in the property window on the left.
