How can I cascade Elements (Divs)?

I'd like to have a div in a div but cannot figure out how this is done.

While qute a few features are missing and the app behaves a bit strange (not buggy, but unconventional) THIS is what Dreamweaver should be able to for years! I mean: Adobe, look at Website Painter* and eventually rewrite this crap called Dreamweaver!

* If you want to go pro you might consider a new name. This implies "hobby"

Thanks for any help.

I wonder how far WP goes. Is it possible to have things like:

a top bar that reaches horizontally over the whole window, no matter, what size it has,

a body background image that scales 100% h and v

a setting for margin & padding of the body?

it looks sooo promising.

I try to answer some questions here: A div in a div: Use a layout container.

Stretched bar: See the 'brown stretched' template, it does this a bit. Using the 'Position Type' property of most elements you can do this.

Background image: You can set the 'background mode' to 'image' and let it repeat in both directions then. Not sure about scaling.

Margin: Not sure there, but you should be able to do this by simply placing the elements where you need them.

Hi Erik

Thanks.
Is it possible to cascade several layout containers. I can't make an inner LC follow an outer.

Is it furthermore possible to use one external css for all pages? Code is still a bit blown by all styles for each div and so.
