I discovered that your sample programs don't work on Win7 64-bit, unless you change the project so the platform target is x86. Be nice to at least ship them that way, if it won't work otherwise (I get a mysterious exception saying a file has a bad format).

OSX now also seems to want to generate x64 binaries by default, so my linker complains to me
ld: warning: in ../irrklang/lib/libirrklang.dylib, missing required architecture x86_64 in file

for now I'm restricting myself to building x32 binaries, but x64 would be nice.

That's truly odd to not have a 64bit version of IrrKlang, which itself is a great addon to the graphics engine.
I also think that it shouldn't be too much of work to set a compiler flag and hit the "Rebuild" button. Since I assume IrrKlang is more less a wrapper for OpenAL, all the underlying S/W should be available in the respective format.

So please, hit F11 (or any respective rebuild button in the IDE of your choice!) ;)

Cheers,
p.

Me too.

I know it's not as simple as "hitting F11", but a lot of people seem to want this. I'm sure the time invested would be worth it.

Question: Would this make irrKlang.NET work with "Any CPU"?

Regards, Phil.

May i Bump the request too?

Because this library, is very interresting for game dev.
And more than more players now have a 64bit OS.

Anyway, thanks for this great library, but please please please, make it compatible 64bits !!!

Regards.

Another request from me. I only just realised that a whole bunch of project I've made don't work on 64bit :(
