Hello Niko, I would suggest a new command in the CopperCube menu maybe under the heading Help the Auto update command.
Once clicked the command closes Coppercube and downloads the new files to update without having to reinstall the whole program.

Thank you.

i don't think it will be posiible... as coppercube has a single exe file for the editor... which is itself is a huge as the newer setup exe... rest of the files are a few .dll and coppercube prefabs file.... so updating the engine from the game itself will download the whole exe... so it doesn't matter... if you download and install from the website or simply update the engine from the editor..
hope you understand what am saying...

you should certainly make a small program that closes Coppercube and overwrites the files to update, I see it a faster thing than installing and uninstalling the old version.

Yes, it would be possible to add, but this is not very high priority. CopperCube is a development tool and it is also designed so that it is possible that you can use different versions of it at the same time on the same system, and an inplace-auto-upgrade system would prevent that.

Yes, it is more convenient to have different versions of Copper available at the same time on system. I always found the Blender approach to be great, I have more than 10 versions on my PC and each one is useful for different things. Blender 2.46 is for consolidating multiple textures into one single texture, 2.74 is for ThreeJS JSON model export and now I use 2.79 for B3D model export to CC with lightmaps on second UV set :)
