If I want to exit the game, I will have to press that x button to close it, but I want to make it so you can just press a button like escape to exit the game. is there any way I can do that?

In the scene graph explorer, click on the root node and go to behaviors, add a "when key pressed do something" behavior to it. As key, select whatever key you like, like "escape", and add an action to it. That action should be the "quit application" action.
