I have set up an email address as a link on a button, but in preview the link will not go to any email programme so as to send an email, like in contact us. Any ideas as to what I have got wrong

How stupid of me. I hold my hands up high. Many thanks for your help. Not done any website design for the best part of 5 years, I used to use Serif Webplus, which for the price was a very handy tool to have and it worked well. Its all new to me these days, I have had to forget most of the old stuff and start to learn the new stuff.
