When I import a mesh from Microsoft 3D builder, It's shading is very wrong. It looks like paper, and is all blocky. How do I smooth the shading to make it more realistic, that way you can't see all of the triangles on the mesh. The default meshes in Coppercube are smooth, and you can't really see all of the triangles at all. In case you don't know what MS 3D builder is, here is a link. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/... |

Never used it so cant say for sure, but each mesh should have a 'UV map' that contains the texture mapping and i think the shading details in it to make it look smooth...? .anyone care to add to that ?? I'm no expert on this topic... CC has its own recalculation of 'normals and tangents' - one has an improved smoothing also - you might try that. My guess overall is that you haven't used MS 3D to calculate the correct shading....just a guess. |

Try opening it in 3D Paint, then "save as" > "3D model" > "model.fbx". When you import it to coppercube, it should then be smooth. Or try the "smoothing" option in 3D builder before you save it. |
