Hello, I'm checking out RocketCake for a website project. It's going to be a "blog-ish" setup, where I'll be updating it with articles over time, but not so much where a full CMS is really that advantageous and would bring more overhead and maintenance than it's worth. What I'm looking to do is be able to have a set "block" of content that will be replicated and re-used for each new article I publish. Each will have a "feature image", a title, a short description, etc.. I'm wondering if there's a way to save something like that out as a custom "block" that I could just drop into the editor when I'm ready to add a new article? Each would come with the sections ready to be filled with content. I suppose I could just save that block of HTML out to its own separate file and then copy and paste it in, but maybe the software has a way of doing that that I haven't seen yet. In CoffeeCup's HTML Editor, I think they call them "snippets", for anyone who might be familiar with that editor. Thanks! |

Yes, right now, there is no such feature. You could probably use Master pages a bit like that, but it's not exactly what you need. Will see if I can add such a feature in a future release. |

This sounds a bit similar to my "custom container" request of a week or two ago... What I have done is just do up a container that's my "template" and stick it at the bottom of the page, then highlight it, and ctrl-c, ctrl-v it to wherever else I may need it. If only the page up and page down keys worked to get me to the template faster... Anyway, so here's another vote for this concept. |

Hey, I am new to Rocketcake, and I like it very much :) I'm in search for a similar feature as asked for in this thread. I tried to nest master-pages... but that does not seem to work. Maybe I am missing something? I am working on a website for a platform to let non-hierarchical organisations collaborate. Any quick response to find a way to nest master pages would help greatly to keep an action on climate justice going. (see www.deklimaatwakers.nl) |

No, sorry, nested master pages are not supported, but true, that would probably be very useful. We have planned a similar feature for the next updates, let's see. |
