So, it looks like there is no way to change the collision size of "Collide When Moved" behavior. I searched the documentation and found nothing for this. And so, is there a way to make character crouch? |

Using crouch animation and modified FPS controller - yes. See my post about in the announcements.. (the camera movement is linked to all animations). Cant change the collision size no, so its a problem actually if you really wanted to crouch walk inside small areas... You could try experiment with having 2 different child nodes with 2x sized behaviors and switch between the 2 - this might work.. |

I found you CAN crouch underneath objects successfully. It comes at a cost however and you have to get rid of the "Game Actor with Health" behavior and code your own hits from enemy attacks (shoot or melee attack) plus health variable. You also have to use javascript code to create your own character controller to move the player position around and then link that to the camera position with code. With a few different 3d mesh boxes setup as the player position with different size 'collide when moved' behaviors you can turn off the ones you dont want to use at the time and it will stop its 'collide when moved' behavior from running. Finally a true crouch walk could be used then. |
